The Stalker is an IM7 Carbon blank, which is a perfect and proven compromise between sensitivity and durability. After decades of combined bumping by our staff, we understand the need for a sensitive and durable blank with a fast action. The rod is 7'3" long, wrapped in 9 SS guides plus the tip top, and fast action is specifically tuned for the needs of bumping.
To add even more strength, the Stalker comes in a Rippin Lips exclusive carbon fiber weave overlay along the lower backbone. This adds backbone strength without adding excessive weight.
The reel seat has been positioned with care so that the rod is well-balanced using a variety of common sized reels. A balanced bumping rod reduces fatigue and is comfortable all day long - a critical feature as we all know!
The polymer grips are top quality. Polymer grips have shown to be as sensitive as cork and as durable as EVA. The tactile feel and grip on this bumping rod is exceptional. We currently offer two choices for rod shipping, USPS and UPS. If you choose to ship rods through the USPS (post office) you acknowledge and accept there may be significant delays in shipping times. We highly recommend utilizing UPS for rod shipping as they have a much shorter delivery time with fewer delays.
