Fresh live bait is the secret weapon of successful catfish anglers—and the Whisker Seeker Tackle Shad Buster Cast Net is built to help you catch it fast. Engineered for efficiency and durability, this premium net lets you quickly secure the freshest bait, whether you’re targeting small threadfin shad, big gizzard shad, skipjack herring, carp, drum, or buffalo. It’s the go-to choice for anglers who rely on cast nets for fishing and want consistent performance every trip.
Available in multiple mesh sizes (⅜" to 1"), net radii, and weight options, there’s a Shad Buster cast net for live bait that fits your bait size and fishing style. Ideal for blue, channel, and flathead catfish anglers across the United States, these nets are designed to open wide, sink fast, and bring in more bait with fewer throws.
The exclusive 6-panel design delivers a full, even spread on every cast so you cover more water and catch more bait. Whether you’re new to using a cast net or you’re a seasoned pro, the balanced design makes throwing and retrieving smooth and efficient.
Each net is built with an optimized weight-to-radius ratio and real lead weights for rapid sinking. Bait has less time to escape, making these some of the most effective cast nets for fishing shad and other baitfish in rivers, lakes, and reservoirs.
Constructed from clear SPS Japanese monofilament, Shad Buster Cast Nets are tough enough for aggressive baitfish and demanding conditions. The material is more durable than standard nylon and remains virtually invisible underwater—ideal for pressured fish and clear water.
A braided poly handline gives you the distance and control you need to reach bait without spooking them. Choose from 30-foot or 50-foot handline options depending on your setup, depth, and how you prefer to fish with your cast nets for live bait.

All Shad Buster Cast Nets include a 30-day manufacturer’s warranty against pre-existing defects in materials and workmanship. Inspect your net carefully upon delivery. Once the net touches water, the warranty is no longer valid, as cast nets for fishing can be damaged by rocks, timber, and submerged debris.
